Saturday Night Steel shoot (SNSS)

Saturday Night Steel Shooting is where they gather after 5:00 pm and shoot at reactive steel targets. They practice drawing from the holster and rapid firing at the before-mentioned targets. They have their own NRA Certified Range Safety Officers on staff for safety. If you are interested in this, please click on the link below for more information.

The main purpose is to encourage participation, shoot economically, and improve one’s ability to make precise shots. The league currently meets on the third Sunday of each month from 9 am - 2 pm for meetings and competitions.

Range Safety Card Program
This program has been suspended temporarily due to covid-19 restrictions.

Our range safety card program is designed to make sure that everyone on the range has read and knows the rules of our range. It is a thirty-question multiple choice test that specifically goes over the safety policies of the San Leandro Rifle and Pistol Range only. It is free to take this test and it is open book (meaning we give you a sheet with the range rules on it). It takes most people 15 minutes or so to get through this test. It is not on basic handgun safety nor does any other certificate exempt you from the $10.00 penalty fee for not having this card (other than practicing law enforcement). Once you successfully pass the test, will be issued your card here at the range. So don't get caught having to pay an extra ten bucks, come on down and get the test done. We do the testing on Saturdays between 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sundays between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
